About Pastor Roosevelt Hatcher
With a heart of worship and a will to serve, Pastor Roosevelt Hatcher has managed to present to audiences a soulful delivery of the sincerest proportions. For more than a decade Roosevelt has captivated audiences with his remarkable vocal gift. He has endeared them with his humble spirit and passionate performances. Pastor Hatcher’s sincere worship conveys his desire to please the Lord through the ministry of song.
With an active ministry schedule, Roosevelt’s ministry has remained un-biased to church size. Audiences in small churches and massive concert halls around the country have experienced the anointing of God on his life as he has boldly ministered the gospel.
Roosevelt began his musical journey at the age of fifteen as a bass player and background vocalist in an R&B band. He continued to play for the group for five years. Roosevelt began to feel emptiness in his life that he soon filled. On March 20, 1981, Roosevelt rededicated his life to the Lord. He began to use his gift for the Kingdom of God. Roosevelt sang with groups such as The Echoes of Faith of the University of Alabama, God’s Reflections of Love Gospel Choir, Classical Arts Productions and King of Glory Ministries, a powerful praise team founded by Roosevelt himself.
Roosevelt was then called into the ministry in May of 1983 preaching his first sermon. Roosevelt was later ordained in 1988. It was during that season that he was signed to Tyscot Records and recorded and released his first solo album “He Inhabits the Praise”. In 1994 Roosevelt released an independent recording entitled “The Blood That Made The Difference. He was called into the pastorate shortly thereafter. It was then that he founded Judah Family Worship Center in Birmingham, AL, where he continues to pastor to date.
The essential messages of Roosevelt’s ministry are hope, deliverance and restoration. Who better to minister such a message than Roosevelt himself? After a divorce and the loss of his fourteen year old daughter in a tragic car accident in February 2006, Roosevelt is rising from the ashes. Declaring that just like in Job’s situation, God will receive the glory in spite of transgressions.
The transparent vocalist has stepped forward to minister to the nations that God is a comforter. He now returns three projects later with a fresh anointing, a new testimony and a new album. This phenomenal project is entitled “A Man after God’s Heart”. It blends together the gospel and contemporary genres all in an attempt to minister to the entire body of Christ. “God is doing something significant with the hearts and minds of his people. I just want the body to know that he will truly keep you in the midst of and in spite of every situation. Through Jesus you can withstand any storm.” |
